To extend the life of your Mi‑T‑M pressure washer, proper maintenance is a must. This includes winterizing the pressure washer pump. Follow these steps on how to properly winterize your pressure washer. We explain the steps for a gas pressure washer and an electric pressure washer.
Important Note: You will need the Mi-T-M pump saver solution for these steps.
Getting Started → Winterizing A Gas Pressure Washer
For electric pressure washers, follow these steps.
- Disconnect the hose, the gun and wand assembly from the pressure washer, draining as much water as possible from them.
- Attach the pump saver directly to the water inlet.
- Turn the knob on the bottle to the open position.
- Pull on the recoil a couple of times until the liquid coming out is 100 percent solution.
Getting Started → Winterizing An Electric Pressure Washer
- Disconnect the hose, the gun and wand assembly from the pressure washer, draining as much water as possible from them.
- Attach the pump saver directly to the water inlet.
- Turn the knob on the bottle to the open position.
- Squeeze the bottle while turning the motor on, until the liquid coming out is 100 percent solution.
Once Winterizing is Complete → Safe to Store
- Safe to store your Mi-T-M pressure washer in a garage or building that does not freeze
